Reconstruction of the
Stoke Charity 28-07-2024 formation

1. Draw a circle. Draw the horizontal and vertical centerlines.

2. Construct the inscribed hexagon (regular 6-sided polygon) of circle 1, pointing left.

3. Construct the inscribed circle of hexagon 2.

4. Construct a circle centered at the upper intersection of circle 1 and the vertical centerline, passing through the upper righthand angular point of hexagon 2.

5. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 4 at the lower side.

6. Copy circle 4 to the intersection of the upper side of hexagon 2 and the vertical centerline.

7. Copy circle 5 to the lower intersection of circle 6 and the vertical centerline.

8. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 7 at the upper side.

9. Construct the circumscribed hexagon of circle 8, pointing left.

10. Construct the circumscribed circle of hexagon 9.

11. Construct the inscribed hexagon of circle 8, pointing left.

12. Draw three rays of hexagon 11, from the center to the lefthand, upper lefthand, and upper righthand, angular points.

13. Draw the righthand ray of hexagon 11, and divide this ray into three equal parts.

14. Copy circle 8 to the lefthand division node 13.

15. Construct the inscribed hexagon of circle 14, pointing left.

16. Draw the ray of hexagon 15 to its upper lefthand angular point.

17. Copy circle 8 to the righthand division node 13.

18. Construct the inscribed hexagon of circle 17, pointing left.

19. Draw the ray of hexagon 18 to its upper lefthand angular point.

20. Construct a circle centered at the upper intersection of circles 8 and 14, tangent to the upper side of hexagon 9.

21. Copy circle 20 four times, to the end-points of rays 12.

(For clarity reasons, some of the results of previous steps are removed temporarily)

22. Construct three lines, one parallel to the horizontal ray 12 at the upper side, the other two parallel to the other rays 12 at the lower and upper lefthand sides, all tangent to circles 21 at the corresponding sides, as shown.

23. Copy circle 20 three times, one to the lefthand angular point of hexagon 15, the other two to the end-points of ray 16.

24. Construct three lines, two parallel to the upper lefthand side of hexagon 15 at both sides, one parallel to ray 16 at the lower lefthand side, all tangent to the corresponding circles 23, as shown.

25. Copy circle 20 three times, one to the lefthand angular point of hexagon 18, the other two to the end-points of ray 19.

26. Construct three lines, two parallel to the upper lefthand side of hexagon 18 at both sides, one parallel to ray 19 at the lower lefthand side, all tangent to the corresponding circles 25, as shown.

27. Remove all redundant parts from hexagon 11, and lines 22, 24, and 26, such that...

28. ...this pattern remains.

29. Repeat all necessary steps to copy and rotate pattern 28 two times, with respect to the upper and lower righthand angular points of hexagon 9.

30. Circles 1, 3, and 10, and patterns 28, and 29, together, make up the final reconstruction.
