Reconstruction of the
Lion's Gate 8-08-2024 formation

1. Draw a circle. Draw and extend the horizontal and vertical centerlines.

2. Construct the inscribed hexagon (regular 6-sided polygon) of circle 1, pointing to the right.

3. Construct the inscribed equilateral triangle of circle 1, pointing to the left.

4. Construct the inscribed circle of triangle 3.

5. Construct the circumscribed hexagon of circle 4, pointing to the right.

6. Copy circle 4 to the righthand angular point of hexagon 5.

7. Construct the "two-points" circle (defined by the two end-points of a centerline) between the center of circle 1 and the righthand intersection of circle 6 and the horizontal centerline.

8. Copy circle 4 to the center of circle 7.

9. Construct a circle centered at the upper lefthand angular point of hexagon 2, tangent to circle 7 at the upper lefthand side.

10. Copy circle 9 to the center of circle 1.

11. Draw the connecting line between the intersections of circles 8 and 10.

12. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to line 11.

13. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, passing through the center of circle 7.

14. Construct the inscribed hexagon of circle 13, pointing to the right.

15. Construct a circle centered at the midpoint of the upper side of hexagon 14, tangent to circle 8 at the upper lefthand side.

16. Copy circle 15 to the center of circle 1.

17. Construct a circle concentric to circle 7, tangent to the upper righthand side of hexagon 2.

18. Copy circle 7 to the upper righthand angular point of hexagon 14.

19. Draw the connecting line between the center of circle 1 and the righthand intersection of circles 10 and 18.

20. Construct a circle centered at the intersection of line 19 and circle 10, tangent to circle 17 at the near side.

21. Copy circle 20 to the intersection of line 19 and circle 12.

22. Construct a circle centered at the lower intersection of circle 21 with circle 12, passing through its upper intersection.

23. Construct a circle centered at the upper intersection of circle 21 with circle 12, passing through its lower intersection.

24. Construct a circle, tangent to circle 17 at the upper righthand side, tangent to circle 23 at the upper side, and tangent to the horizontal centerline.

25. Draw a line from the center of circle 7 to the intersection (tangent point) of circle 17 and the upper righthand side of hexagon 2, and extend this line upto circle 8.

26. Construct the "two-points" circle between the intersections of line 25 with circles 8 and 17.

27. Construct a circle centered at the righthand intersection of circle 10 and the horizontal centerline, tangent to circle 17 at the righthand side.

28. Copy circle 27 to the center of circle 26.

29. Construct a circle concentric to circle 7, passing through the center of circle 26.

30. Copy circle 26 to its own upper intersection with circle 29.

31. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 8 at the lefthand side.

32. Copy circle 31 to the righthand intersection of circle 17 and the horizontal centerline.

33. Construct a circle concentric to circle 7, tangent to circle 32 at the lefthand side.

34. Copy circle 7 to the lower righthand angular point of hexagon 14.

35. Construct a (small) circle centered at the upper intersection of circles 24 and 33, tangent to circle 23 at the near side.

36. Copy circle 35 to the center of circle 21.

37. Remove all redundant parts from circles 7, 8, 10, 16, 17, 18, 21, 22, 23, 24, 28, 30, 33, 34, and 36, such that...

38. ...this pattern remains.

39. Repeat all necessary steps to copy and rotate pattern 38 five times, with respect to the other five angular points of hexagon 2, as shown.

40. Patterns 38 and 39, together, make up the final reconstruction.
