Reconstruction of theCombe Hill 30-07-2023 formation 1. Draw a circle. Draw the horizontal and vertical centerlines. 2. Construct the inscribed equilateral triangle of circle 1, pointing down. 3. Construct a circle, passing through the intersections of triangle 2 and the horizontal centerline, and tangent to circle 1 at the upper side. 4. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 3 at the lower side. 5. Construct the inscribed pentagon (regular 5-sided polygon) of circle 4, pointing up. 6. Copy circle 3 four times, to the other angular points of pentagon 5. 7. Draw the connecting line between the center of circle 4 and its lefthand intersection with the horizontal centerline. Divide this line into sixteen equal parts. Number the division nodes 1 - 15, from left to right. 8. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, passing through node 7 nr. 10. 9. Copy circle 8 to the upper intersection of circle 1 and the vertical centerline. 10. Construct the inscribed pentagon of circle 1, pointing up. 11. Copy circle 8 to the lower lefthand angular point of pentagon 10. 12. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, passing through node 7 nr. 9. 13. Copy circle 12 to the righthand angular point of pentagon 10. 14. Copy circle 8 to the lower intersection of circle 13 and the upper righthand circle 6. 15. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, passing through node 7 nr. 12. 16. Copy circle 15 to the lefthand angular point of pentagon 10. 17. Copy circle 8 to the lower intersection of circle 16 and the upper lefthand circle 6. 18. Copy circle 15 to the lower righthand angular point of pentagon 10. 19. Copy circle 8 to the lower lefthand intersection of circle 18 and the lower righthand circle 6. 20. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, passing through node 7 nr. 1. 21. Construct a circle concentric to circle 3, tangent to circle 20 at the lower side. 22. Copy circle 21 four times, to the centers of circles 6. 23. Construct seven circles concentric to circle 1, passing through nodes 7 nrs. 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8. 24. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, passing through node 7 nr. 15. 25. Copy circle 24 five times, to the centers of circles 9, 11, 14, 17, and 19. 26. Draw five connecting lines, between the center of circle 1 and the centers of circles 25. 27. Construct five lines parallel to lines 26, the upper one at the lefthand side, the others rotationally corresponding, all tangent to circle 24 and circles 25, as shown. 28. Circles 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, 11, 12, 14, 17, 19, 20, 21, 22, and 23, and lines 26, and 27, are used for the final reconstruction. 29. Remove all parts not visible within the formation itself.pdf-file 30.
