Reconstruction of the
Lay Wood 14-07-2022 formation
1. Draw a circle. Draw and extend the horizontal and vertical centerlines.
2. Construct the inscribed hexagon (regular 6-sided polygon) of circle 1, pointing to the right.
3. Construct the inscribed circle of hexagon 2.
4. Construct the inscribed equilateral triangle of circle 1, pointing to the left.
5. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, passing through the intersection of the upper lefthand side of triangle 4 and the vertical centerline.
6. Construct a circle centered at the lefthand intersection of circle 3 and the horizontal centerline, passing through its upper intersection with the vertical centerline.
7. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 6 at the righthand side.
8. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, passing through the intersection of circle 6 and the upper lefthand side of triangle 4.
9. Copy circle 5 to the righthand intersection of circle 8 and the horizontal centerline.
10. Construct a circle centered at the righthand intersection of circle 9 and the horizontal centerline, tangent to circle 3 at the righthand side.
11. Construct a circle concentric to circle 10, tangent to circle 8 at the righthand side.
12. Construct a circle concentric to circle 10, tangent to circle 5 at the righthand side.
13. Construct a circle concentric to circle 10, tangent to circle 7 at the righthand side.
14. Construct a circle concentric to circle 10, passing through the upper intersection of circle 3 and the righthand side of triangle 4.
15. Copy circle 5 to the lefthand intersection of circle 8 and the horizontal centerline.
16. Copy circles 10, 11, 12, 13, and 14, to the lefthand intersection of circle 15 and the horizontal centerline.
17. Circles 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, and 16, are used for the final reconstruction.
18. Remove all parts not visible within the formation itself.
