Reconstruction of the
Tidcombe Down 28-06-2021 formation

1. Draw a circle. Draw and extend the horizontal and vertical centerlines.

2. Construct the inscribed hexagon (regular six-sided polygon) of circle 1, pointing up.

3. Construct a circle centered at the righthand intersection of circle 1 and the horizontal centerline, passing through the nearest upper angular point of hexagon 2.

4. Construct the inscribed pentagon (regular five-sided polygon) of circle 3, pointing to the right.

5. Construct the inscribed circle of pentagon 4.

6. Copy circle 5 to the upper intersection of circles 1 and 3.

7. Construct a circle concentric to circle 3, tangent to circle 6 at the upper side.

8. Copy circle 5 to the upper intersection of circles 1 and 7.

9. Construct a circle centered at the lefthand intersection of circle 5 and the horizontal centerline, tangent to circle 3 at the lefthand side.

10. Construct a circle concentric to circle 3, tangent to circle 9 at the righthand side.

11. Copy circle 10 to the center of circle 1.

12. Copy circle 10 to the upper lefthand intersection of circles 1 and 8.

13. Construct a circle concentric to circle 8, tangent to circle 12 at the lefthand side.

14. Copy circle 10 to the upper lefthand intersection of circles 1 and 13.

15. Construct a circle centered at the lefthand intersection of circle 10 and the horizontal centerline, tangent to circle 5 at the lefthand side.

16. Construct a circle concentric to circle 3, tangent to circle 15 at the righthand side.

17. Copy circle 16 to the lefthand intersection of circles 1 and 14.

18. Construct a circle concentric to circle 14, tangent to circle 17 at the lefthand side.

19. Copy circle 16 to the lefthand intersection of circles 1 and 18.

20. Construct a circle concentric to circle 3, tangent to the righthand side of hexagon 2.

21. Copy circle 20 to the lower lefthand intersection of circles 1 and 19.

22. Construct a circle concentric to circle 19, tangent to circle 21 at the lower lefthand side.

23. Copy circle 20 to the lower lefthand intersection of circles 1 and 22.

24. Construct a circle centered at the righthand intersection of circle 5 and the horizontal centerline, tangent to the nearest upper side of pentagon 4.

25. Copy circle 24 to the lower intersection of circles 1 and 23.

26. Construct a circle concentric to circle 23, tangent to circle 25 at the lower side.

27. Copy circle 24 to the lower intersection of circles 1 and 26.

28. Copy circles 8, 14, 19, 23, and 27, while mirroring with respect to the horizontal centerline.

29. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 13 at the upper righthand side.

30. Copy circle 24 to the righthand intersection of circle 29 and the horizontal centerline.

31. Construct the "two-points" circle (defined by the two end-points of a centerline) between the center of circle 1 and the lefthand intersection of circle 11 and the horizontal centerline.

32. Construct a circle concentric to circle 31, tangent to circle 30 at the righthand side.

33. Circles 3, 8, 11, 14, 19, 23, 27, 28, 29, and, 32, together, make up the final reconstruction.
