Reconstruction of the
Stanton St Bernard 10-05-2021 formation

1. Draw a circle. Draw the horizontal and vertical centerlines.

2. Construct the inscribed octagon (regular 8-sided polygon) of circle 1, pointing up.

3. Construct a "two-points" circle (defined by the two end-points of a centerline) between the center of circle 1 and its righthand intersection with the horizontal centerline.

4. Draw the ray of octagon 2 from the center to the upper righthand angular point.

5. Draw the connecting line between the center of circle 3 and the upper righthand angular point of octagon 2.

6. Draw the connecting line between the righthand angular point of octagon 2 and the intersection of circle 3 and line 5.

7. Construct a line from the center of circle 3, perpendicular to the righthand side, above the horizontal centerline, of octagon 2, and extend this line to the right upto circle 3.

8. Construct a "two-points" circle between the intersections of line 7 with circle 3 and octagon 2.

9. Copy circle 8 two times, to both end-points of line 4.

10. Construct a line parallel to line 4, tangent to circles 9 at the lower righthand sides.

11. Copy circle 8 to the lower end-point of line 6.

12. Construct a line parallel to the horizontal centerline, tangent to lower circle 9 and circle 11 at the upper sides.

13. Copy circle 8 to the center of circle 3.

14. Construct two lines parallel to line 5, tangent to upper circle 9 and circle 13 at both sides.

15. Copy circle 8 to the upper end-point of line 6.

16. Construct a line parallel to line 6, tangent to circles 11 and 15 at the lower lefthand sides.

17. Remove all redundant parts from lines 10, 12, 14, and 16, such that...

18. ...these patterns remain.

19. Repeat all necessary steps to copy and rotate patterns 18 seven times, with respect to the other angular points of octagon 2, as shown.

20. Circle 1, and patterns 18 and 19, together, make up the final reconstruction.
