Reconstruction of the
Mount Pleasant 25-07-2016 formation

1. Draw a circle. Draw the horizontal and vertical centerlines.

2. Construct the inscribed dodecagon (regular 12-sided polygon) of circle 1, pointing up. Number the angular points clockwise 1 - 12, starting at the top.

3. Draw the line 2-12 (between angular points 2 nrs. 2 and 12).

4. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to line 3.

5. Construct the inscribed dodecagon of circle 4, pointing up. Number the angular points clockwise 13 - 24, starting at the top.

6. Draw six lines: 1-23 (between angular point 2 nr. 1 and angular point 5 nr. 23), 3-13, 5-15, 7-17, 9-19, and 11-21.

7. Construct the inscribed hexagon (regular 6-sided polygon) of circle 4, pointing to the right.

8. Draw a line from angular point 13 to the intersection of line 1-23 and the upper lefthand side of hexagon 7. Repeat this five times, for the angular points 15, 17, 19, 21, and 23, to the other corresponding intersections, as shown.

9. Draw six lines: 2-23, 4-13, 6-15, 8-17, 10-19, and 12-21.

10. Draw six lines: 2-18, 4-20, 6-22, 8-24, 10-14, and 12-16.

11. Construct a circle centered at the intersection of the leftmost line 8 and the horizontal centerline, passing through the intersection of lines 11-21 and 6-22. See detail.

12. Copy circle 11 two times, to angular points 4 and 13.

13. Construct a line parallel to line 4-13, tangent to circles 12 at the lower lefthand sides. Extend this line up to the closest line 8. See detail.

14. Repeat steps 12 and 13 five times, for the other corresponding pairs of angular points, as shown.

15. Copy circle 11 two times, to angular points 2 and 18.

16. Construct a line parallel to line 2-18, tangent to circles 15 at the lefthand sides.

17. Repeat steps 15 and 16 five times, for the other corresponding pairs of angular points, as shown.

18. Circle 1, and lines 6, 8, 9, 10, 13, 14, 16, and 17, are used for the final reconstruction.

19. Remove all parts not visible within the formation itself.
