Reconstruction of the
Oxleaze Copse 23-08-2012 formation

1. Draw an eleven by eleven grid of connected squares. Number the columns from left to right, and the rows from bottom to top 1 to 11.

2. Construct the inscribed circle of square (6,6) - column 6, row 6.

3. Copy circle 2 four times, to the centers of the horizontally and vertically adjacent squares ((5,6), (7,6), (6,5), (6,7)).

4. Construct the circumscribed circle of circles 3.

5. Copy circle 2 to the center of square (7,7).

6. Construct a circle, tangent to circles 2 and 5 and righthand circle 3 at the near sides.

7. Copy circle 6 to the center of circle 2.

8. Construct the inscribed equilateral triangle of circle 7, pointing up.

9. Construct the inscribed circle of triangle 8.

10. Copy circle 2 two times, to the centers of squares (1,6) and (11,6).

11. Copy circle 9 two times, to the centers of circles 10.

12. Draw two parallel lines, tangent to circles 11 at both sides.

13. Copy circle 2 two times, to the centers of squares (2,7) and (10,7).

14. Copy circle 9 two times, to the centers of circles 13.

15. Draw two parallel lines, tangent to circles 14 at both sides.

16. Copy circle 2 two times, to the centers of squares (2,5) and (10,5).

17. Copy circle 9 two times, to the centers of circles 16.

18. Draw two parallel lines, tangent to circles 17 at both sides.

19. Repeat steps 10, 11 and 12 another six times, for respectively squares (3,8) and (9,8), (4,9) and (8,9), (5,10) and (7,10), (3,4) and (9,4), (4,3) and (8,3), (5,2) and (7,2).

20. Copy circle 2 two times, to the centers of squares (6,1) and (6,11).

21. Copy circle 9 two times, to the centers of circles 20.

22. Draw two parallel lines, tangent to circles 21 at both sides.

23. Copy circle 2 four times, to the centers of squares (3,6), (6,3), (6,9) and (9,6).

24. Copy circle 6 two times, to the centers of the upper and lower circles 23.

25. Draw two parallel lines, tangent to circles 24 at both sides.

26. Copy circle 6 six times, to the centers of circles 10, 13 and 16.

27. Draw three sets of two parallel, horizontal lines, tangent to corresponding pairs of circles 26 at both sides, as shown.

28. Circles 4, 10, 13, 16, 19, 20 and 23, and lines 12, 15, 18, 19, 22, 25 and 27, are used for the final reconstruction.

29. Remove all parts not visible within the formation itself.
