Reconstruction of the
Manton Drove 2-06-2012 formation

1. Draw a circle. Draw the horizontal and vertical centerlines.

2. Construct the inscribed regular 13-sided polygon of circle 1, pointing up. Number the angular points 1 - 13 clockwise, starting at the one next to the top to the right.

3. Construct a "two-points" circle (defined by the two end-points of a centerline) between the lower intersection of circle 1 and the intersection of the lower side of polygon 2, with the vertical centerline.

4. Construct a "two-points" circle between the center of circle 1 and its lower intersection with the vertical centerline.

5. Construct a "two-points" circle between the center of circle 4 and its lower intersection with the vertical centerline.

6. Construct a "two-points" circle between the center of circle 5 and its lower intersection with the vertical centerline.

7. Copy circle 6 six times, to its own upper intersection with the vertical centerline, and to the corresponding intersections of each last copied circles.

8. Copy circle 3 seven times, to the centers of circles 6 and 7.

9. Construct the inscribed circle of polygon 2.

10. Construct twelve circles concentric to circle 1, one tangent to the lower circle 8 at the upper side, one tangent to the upper circle 8 at the lower side, the others tangent to the remaining circles 8 at both sides.

11. Copy circle 3 two times, to the center of circle 1, and to the upper intersection of circle 9 and the vertical centerline.

12. Construct two parallel lines, tangent to circles 11 at both sides.

13. Copy circle 3 three times, to the intersection (tangent point) of the side of polygon 2 between angular points nrs. 2 and 3 and circle 9, and to the angular points nrs. 9 and 10.

14. Construct three lines, one tangent to the lower circle 11 and the righthand circle 13 at the upper sides, the others tangent to the lower circle 11 and the lefthand circles 13 at the lower sides.

15. Construct the inscribed regular 19-sided polygon of circle 1, pointing up. Number the angular points 1 - 19 clockwise, starting at the one next to the top to the right.

16. Copy circle 3 two times, to the angular points nrs. 12 and 17 of polygon 15.

17. Construct two lines, tangent to the lower circle 11 and circles 16 at the lower lefthand and lower righthand sides respectively.

18. Circles 9 and 10, and lines 12, 14 and 17, are used for the final reconstruction.

19. Remove all parts not visible within the formation itself.
