Reconstruction of the
East Kennett (2) 22-07-2011 formation

1. Draw a circle. Draw and extend the horizontal and vertical centerlines.

2. Construct the inscribed equilateral triangle of circle 1, pointing to the right.

3. Construct the inscribed circle of triangle 2.

4. Copy circle 1 to its upper intersection with the vertical centerline.

5. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, passing through the intersection of the lefthand side of triangle 2 and circle 4.

6. Copy circle 1 two times, to the intersections of circles 4 and 5.

7. Draw the connecting line between the centers of circles 6.

8. Construct a circle centered at the intersection of line 7 and the vertical centerline, tangent to circle 5 at the upper side.

9. Construct three inscribed pentagons (regular 5-sided polygons) of circle 1, pointing at the angular points of triangle 2.

10. Draw a line between the leftmost mutual intersection of pentagons 9 and the center of circle 8, and extend this line to the opposite side of circle 1.

11. Draw a line between the leftmost angular point of pentagons 9 above the horizontal centerline and the center of circle 8.

12. Construct a line parallel to the horizontal centerline, from the intersection of line 10 and circle 1, extending to the left upto the opposite side of circle 1.

13. Construct a circle centered at the lefthand intersection of line 12 and circle 1, tangent to line 11.

14. Copy circle 13 to the center of circle 8.

15. Draw two lines, from the intersections of line 12 and circle 1, both tangent to circle 14 at the upper side.

16. Draw eight lines, from the center of circle 8 to the angular points of pentagons 9 below or on the horizontal centerline.

17. Draw eight lines, from the center of circle 8 to the outer set of mutual intersections of pentagons 9, seven below the horizontal centerline and one just above it at the righthand side.

18. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 4 at the upper side.

19. Copy circle 8 to the upper intersection of circle 18 and the vertical centerline.

20. Construct a "two-points" circle (defined by the two end-points of a centerline) between the center of circle 19 and its upper intersection with the vertical centerline.

21. Copy circle 20 to its upper intersection with the vertical centerline.

22. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, passing through the center of circle 20.

23. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 20 at the upper side.

24. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 21 at the upper side.

25. Construct the circumscribed pentagon of circle 24, pointing down.

26. Construct the circumscribed circle of pentagon 25.

27. Copy circle 20 to the upper intersection of circle 21 and the vertical centerline.

28. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 27 at the upper side.

29. Copy circle 20 to the upper intersection of circle 27 and the vertical centerline.

30. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 29 at the upper side.

31. Construct the inscribed 190-sided regular polygon of circle 30 pointing to the right.

32. Draw the 190 rays of polygon 31, from the center of circle 1 to its angular points, but only the parts in between circles 18 and 30. Number the rays from 1 to 190 clockwise, starting with the fifth to the left from the upper half of the vertical centerline, as shown. See detail.

33. Construct two inscribed pentagons of circle 18, pointing to rays 32 nrs. 1 and 20. See detail.

34. Construct a "two-points" circle between the intersections of circle 22 and rays 32 nrs. 5 and 6.

35. Copy circle 34 three times, to the upper intersections of circles 23, 24 and 28 with the vertical centerline.

36. Construct eight circles, all concentric to circle 1, tangent at both sides to circles 34 and 35. See detail.

37. Create the shown pattern, by removing all redundant parts from circles 18, 22, 23, 24, 28, 30 and 36, and rays 32 nrs. 184, 186, 188, 190, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18 and 19. See detail.

38. Copy pattern 37 nine times, by repeating step 37 with respect to the other angular points of pentagons 33 and rays 32 with corresponding numbers, as shown.

39. Circles 1, 3, 5, 6, 8 and 26, pentagons 9 and 33, lines 10, 11, 15, 16 and 17, and patterns 37 and 38, are used for the final reconstruction.

40. Remove all parts not visible within the formation itself.
