Reconstruction of the
Windmill Hill 27-07-2010 formation

1. Draw a circle. Draw and extend the horizontal and vertical centerlines.

2. Construct the inscribed hexagon (regular 6-sided polygon) of circle 1, pointing up.

3. Draw the six rays of hexagon 2, from the center of circle 1 to the angular points.

4. Construct a circle centered at the intersection of the righthand side of hexagon 2 and the horizontal centerline, tangent to the upper righthand ray 3.

5. Construct a "two-points" circle (defined by the two end-points of a centerline) between the center of circle 4 and its lefthand intersection with the horizontal centerline.

6. Copy circle 5 to the center of circle 1.

7. Construct the inscribed hexagon of circle 6, pointing up.

8. Construct a circle centered at the righthand intersection of circle 6 and the horizontal centerline, tangent to the righthand side of hexagon 7.

9. Construct a "two-points" circle between the center of circle 8 and its lefthand intersection with the horizontal centerline.

10. Construct a "two-points" circle between the center of circle 9 and its lefthand intersection with the horizontal centerline.

11. Copy circle 10 to the top of hexagon 2.

12. Copy circle 1 to the lower intersection of circle 11 and the vertical centerline.

13. Copy circle 8 to the righthand intersection of circle 1 and the horizontal centerline.

14. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 13 at the lefthand side.

15. Copy circle 14 to the center of circle 12.

16. Construct the inscribed circle of hexagon 7.

17. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, passing through the righthand intersection of circle 12 and the horizontal centerline.

18. Draw the diagonal of hexagon 2, between the upper lefthand and the upper righthand angular points.

19. Copy circle 17 to the intersection of diagonal 18 and the vertical centerline.

20. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, passing through the righthand intersection of circle 19 and diagonal 18.

21. Copy circles 12 and 15 five times, to the other angular points of hexagon 2.

22. Copy circle 6 to the top of hexagon 2.

23. Copy circle 16 to the top of hexagon 2.

24. Construct the inscribed hexagon of circle 1, pointing to the right.

25. Construct a circle centered at the intersection of the upper side of hexagon 24 and the vertical centerline, passing through the lower intersection of circle 23 and the outer circle of the upper lefthand set of circles 21, as shown.

26. Copy circle 25 to the upper lefthand angular point of hexagon 24.

27. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, passing through the intersection of circle 15 and the upper righthand ray 3.

28. Copy circle 10 to the upper intersection of circle 27 and the vertical centerline.

29. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 28 at the upper side.

30. Copy circle 10 to the righthand intersection of circles 1 and 26.

31. Copy circle 29 to the righthand intersection of circles 1 and 30, and move this circle (copy and delete original) to its own corresponding intersection.

32. Copy circle 10 to the righthand intersection of circles 1 and 31.

33. Copy circle 27 to the righthand intersection of circles 1 and 32, and move this circle to its own corresponding intersection.

34. Draw the ray of hexagon 24 from the center of circle 1 to the upper lefthand angular point.

35. Copy circles 31 and 33, while mirroring with respect to ray 34, as shown.

36. Construct a circle concentric to circle 25, tangent to circle 14 at the upper side.

37. Copy circle 36 to the upper intersection of circle 20 and the vertical centerline.

38. Copy circle 8 to the upper intersection of circle 37 and the vertical centerline.

39. Construct a circle concentric to circle 37, tangent to circle 38 at the lower side.

40. Construct a circle concentric to circle 25, passing through the intersection of the inner circle of the upper lefthand set of circles 21 and the upper side of hexagon 24, as shown.

41. Copy circle 40 to the intersection of circle 20 and ray 34.

42. Copy circle 10 to the righthand intersection of circles 20 and 41.

43. Construct a circle concentric to circle 41, passing through the righthand intersection of circles 20 and 42.

44. Copy circle 43 to the righthand intersection of circles 20 and 41, and move this circle to its own corresponding intersection.

45. Copy circle 40 to the center of circle 44.

46. Copy circles 44 and 45, while mirroring with respect to ray 34, as shown.

47. Copy circles 6 and 16 five times, to the other angular points of hexagon 2 (all except the upper one).

48. Draw the connecting line between the lower righthand angular point of hexagon 2 and the righthand intersection of the outer circles of the rightmost two sets of circles 21, as shown.

49. Copy circle 40 to the intersection of line 48 and the outer circle of the lower righthand set of circles 47, and move this circle to its own righthand intersection with line 48, as shown.

50. Construct a "two-points" circle between the center of circle 49 and its lefthand intersection with line 48.

51. Copy circle 50 to the center of circle 49.

52. Copy circles 26, 31, 33, 35, 37, 39, 41, 43, 44, 45 and 46, five times, to the corresponding positions with respect to the other angular points of hexagon 2, as shown.

53. Construct a "two-points" circle between the center of circle 10 and its lefthand intersection with the horizontal centerline.

54. Copy circle 53 to the lower intersection of circle 20 and the vertical centerline.

55. Construct two circles concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 54 at both sides. See detail.

56. Copy circle 53 to the lefthand intersection of circle 1 and the horizontal centerline.

57. Construct two circles concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 56 at both sides. See detail.

58. Copy circle 53 to the upper intersection of the outer circle of the lowermost set of circles 47 and the vertical centerline.

59. Construct a circle concentric to the lowermost set of circles 47, tangent to circle 58 at the lower side.

60. Copy circle 10 to the lower intersection of circle 15 and the vertical centerline.

61. Construct a circle concentric to circle 15, tangent to circle 60 at the upper side.

62. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, passing through the intersection of circle 61 and the upper righthand ray 3.

63. Copy circle 10 six times, to the intersections of circle 62 and rays 3.

64. Copy circle 9 three times, to the centers of upper lefthand, upper righthand and lower circles 63.

65. Circles 12, 15, 16, 21, 22, 23, 26, 31, 33, 35, 37, 39, 41, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47, 49, 51, 52, 55, 57, 59, 63 and 64, are used for the final reconstruction.

66. Remove all parts not visible within the formation itself.
