Reconstruction of the
The Ridgeway 14-04-2009 formation

1. Draw a circle. Draw and extend the horizontal and vertical centerlines.

2. Construct the inscribed square of circle 1, sides horizontal and vertical.

3. Draw a half diagonal of square 2, from the center of circle 1 to the upper righthand angular point.

4. Construct a "two-points" circle (defined by the end-points of a centerline), between the center of circle 1 and its righthand intersection with the horizontal centerline.

5. Copy circle 4 to its righthand intersection with the horizontal centerline.

6. Construct a circle, tangent to line 3, tangent to circle 5 at the lefthand side, and tangent to the horizontal centerline.

7. Copy circle 6 to the center of circle 5.

8. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 7 at the lefthand side.

9. Copy circle 6 to the righthand intersection of circle 5 and the horizontal centerline.

10. Construct a circle concentric to circle 5, tangent to circle 9 at the righthand side.

11. Copy circle 10 three times, the first to its righthand intersection with the horizontal centerline, the second and third to the corresponding intersections of each last copied circle, as shown.

12. Construct three circles, all concentric to circle 1, passing through the centers of circles 11.

13. Copy circle 4 three times, to the centers of circles 11.

14. Construct four circles, all concentric to circle 1, passing through the righthand intersections of circles 5 and 13 with the horizontal centerline.

15. Copy circle 4 to the righthand intersection of the rightmost circle 11 with the horizontal centerline.

16. Construct four circles, all concentric to circle 1, passing through the lefthand intersections of circles 13 and 15 with the horizontal centerline.

17. Copy circle 6 three times, to the righthand intersections of circles 13 with the horizontal centerline.

18. Construct four circles, all concentric to circle 1, passing through the lefthand intersections of circles 9 and 17 with the horizontal centerline.

19. Draw two connecting lines, between the lefthand and righthand intersections of the outer circle 18 with the horizontal centerline, and between its upper and lower intersections with the vertical centerline.

20. Circles 1, 8, 12, 14, 16 and 18, and lines 19 are used for the final reconstruction.

21. Remove all redundant parts, not visible in the formation itself.
