Draw a circle. Draw and extend the horizontal and vertical centerlines. | ||||

Construct the inscribed nonagon (regular 9-sided polygon) of circle 1, pointing up. | ||||

Draw all nine inner diagonals of nonagon 2 (to every fourth angular point). | ||||

Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, passing through the second set of intersections of diagonals 3, as shown. | ||||

Construct the inscribed nonagon of circle 4, pointing down. | ||||

6. |
Copy circle 1 to the lower angular point of nonagon 5. | ||||

7. |
Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 6 at the upper side. | ||||

8. |
Construct the inscribed nonagon of circle 7, pointing up. | ||||

9. |
Copy circle 1 nine times, to the angular points of nonagon 8. | ||||

Only circles 9 are required for the reconstruction. | ||||
