Reconstruction of the
Ridgeway 30-05-2004 formation

1. Draw a circle. Draw and extend the horizontal and vertical centerlines.

2. Construct the inscribed hexagon (regular 6-sided polygon) of circle 1, pointing up.

3. Copy circle 1 to the top angular point of hexagon 2.

4. Copy circle 1 two times, to the lower left and right angular points of hexagon 2.

5. Construct the inscribed hexagon of circle 1, pointing to the right.

6. Construct a small circle centered at the right intersection of hexagon 2 and the horizontal centerline, tangent to the closest two sides of hexagon 5.

7. Copy circle 6 to the center of circle 1.

8. Construct a circle concentric to circle 3, tangent to circle 7 at the lower side.

9. Copy circle 8 two times, to the centers of circles 4.

10. Copy circle 8 to the center of circle 1.

11. Copy circle 10 to its upper intersection with the vertical centerline.

12. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 11 at the upper side.

13. Draw three rays of hexagon 2, from the center of circle 1 to the centers of circles 3 and 4, and extend these up to circle 12.

14. Construct the inscribed hexagon of circle 12, pointing up.

15. Construct the inscribed hexagon of circle 12, pointing to the right.

16. Construct a small circle, tangent from inside to the three sides of the lowest triangle enclosed by hexagons 14 and 15, as shown.

17. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, passing through the center of circle 16.

18. Construct a circle centered at the intersection of circle 17 and upper ray 13, tangent to circle 1 at the upper side.

19. Copy circle 18 two times, to the intersections of the two lower rays 13 and circle 17.

20. Construct a circle concentric to circle 18, tangent to circle 10 at the upper side.

21. Copy circle 20 two times, to the centers of circles 19.

22. Construct a circle centered on upper ray 13, tangent to circles 1 and 8, both at the upper side.

23. Construct two circles similar to circle 22, for both other rays 13, as shown.

24. Construct a circle concentric to circle 22, tangent to circles 3 and 10, both at the upper side.

25. Copy circle 24 two times, to the centers of circles 23.

26. Construct a circle centered at the intersection of hexagon 15 and upper ray 13, tangent to circle 12 at the upper side.

27. Copy circle 26 to the intersection of circle 8 and upper ray 13.

28. Copy circle 26 to the (lower) intersection of circle 27 and upper ray 13.

29. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, passing through the center of circle 28.

30. Copy circle 28 two times, to the intersections of both lower rays 13 and circle 29.

31. Construct a circle concentric to circle 28, tangent to circle 3 at the upper side.

32. Copy circle 31 two times, to the centers of circles 30.

33. Copy circle 31 to the lower intersection of circle 28 and upper ray 13.

34. Copy circle 31 to the upper intersection of circle 33 and upper ray 13.

35. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, passing through the center of circle 34.

36. Copy circle 34 two times, to the intersections of both lower rays 13 and circle 35.

37. Circles 3, 4, 7, 8, 9, 12, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 28, 30, 31, 32, 34 and 36 make up all, that is necessary for the final reconstruction.

38. Leave out all parts invisible in the formation itself.
