Reconstruction of the
The Gallops 28-07-2002 formation
1. Draw a circle.
2. Draw a line from the center of circle 1 to its rightmost point (the right half of the horizontal centerline).
3. Copy line 2 75 times and distribute, together with line 2 (76 in total), evenly around the center of circle 1.
4. Counting rays 3 clockwise, starting from line 2, draw a line between the end-points of ray 0 (line 2) and ray 20, as shown.
5. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to line 4.
6. Draw a line from the (same) end-point of line 2 to the intersection of ray 27 and circle 5, as shown.
7. Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to line 6.
8. Replace line 2 with two parallel lines at a short mutual distance (this distance has not been reconstructed), as shown.
9. As in step 3, copy lines 8 75 times and distribute, together with the original ones (76 pairs in total), evenly around the center of circle 1.
10. Construct a circle, tangent to circle 1 at the inner side, and tangent to two rays 8 and 9 three apart, at the near sides, see figure.
11. Construct a circle, similar to circle 10, overlapping it up to the line 9 that is adjacent to upper line 8, see figure.
12. Construct a circle, tangent to circle 5 at the inner side, and tangent to two rays 8 and 9 four apart, at the near sides.
13. Construct a circle, similar to circle 12, overlapping it up to the same line 9, as shown.
14. Construct a circle, tangent to circle 7 at the inner side, and tangent to two rays 8 and 9 five apart, at the near sides.
15. Again, construct a circle, similar to circle 14, overlapping it up to the same line 9.
16. Discard everything of circles 5, 7, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15, and lines 8 and 9, except for three "islands", bordered by upper line 8 and adjacent line 9, circles 10 and 11, 12 and 13 and 14 and 15, and circles 5 and 7, as shown in the figure.
17. Colour "islands" 16 green.
18. Copy "islands" 17 75 times and distribute together with the originals (76 sets of three "islands" in total) evenly around the center of circle 1. The green areas correspond to standing crop. This finishes the reconstruction of The Gallops 28-07-2002 formation.
