Draw a circle. | ||||

Draw the right half of the horizontal centerline (ray nr. 0). | ||||

Copy line 2 (ray nr. 0) 23 times (24 in total) and divide all rays evenly around circle 1. | ||||

Construct a circle tangent to circle 1 at the inner side, tangent to line 2 (ray nr. 0), and tangent to ray nr. 1 (counted counterclockwise). | ||||

Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, passing through the center of circle 4. | ||||

Construct a circle with its center on the vertical ray up (nr. 6), passing through the center of circle 1 and tangent to circle 5 (at the inner side). | ||||

Copy circle 6 5 times (6 in total) and divide all six evenly around circle 1 (with centers on every fourth ray). | ||||

Construct a circle concentric to circle 6, tangent to circle 1 (at the inner side). | ||||

Copy circle 8 5 times (6 in total) and divide all six evenly around circle 1. | ||||

Copy circle 6 to the center of circle 1. | ||||

Cut away all parts of circles 16, 20 and 25, and circles 1, 17 (upper right) and 18, respectively, until two "islands" remain, as shown (shaded). | ||||

Do the same for circles 5, 9 (lower right) and 15 (right), and circles 7 (lower right), 10 and 12 (upper right), until two smaller "islands" remain, as shown (shaded). | ||||
