Draw a circle. | ||||

Draw the horizontal and vertical centerlines. | ||||

Construct the inscribed hexagon (regular 6-sided polygon) of circle 1, pointing up. | ||||

Construct the inscribed circle of hexagon 3. | ||||

Construct the inscribed square of circle 4, pointing up. | ||||

Construct the inscribed circle of square 5. | ||||

Construct a circle centered at the horizontal centerline on the right, tangent to circles 1 and 6, both on the right. Copy this circle to the center of circle 1. | ||||

Construct a circle centered at the top of square 5, tangent to circle 1 on the near side. Copy this circle also to the center of circle 1. | ||||

Construct the circumscribed equilateral triangle of circle 6, pointing down. | ||||

Construct the circumscribed circle of triangle 9. | ||||

Extend the horizontal centerline at both ends up to circle 10. | ||||

Construct a circle centered at the horizontal centerline on the left, tangent to circle 10 and copied circle 8, both on the left side. | ||||

Copy circle 12 to the left intersection of copied circle 7 and the horizontal centerline. Copy another one to the corresponding left intersection of this last circle with the horizontal centerline. | ||||

Draw the connecting line between the intersections of the last circle 13 and circle 1. | ||||

Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to line 14. | ||||

Construct a small circle centered at the intersection of the horizontal centerline and circle 4, tangent to circle 15, all on the right. Copy this circle to the intersection of circle 1 and the horizontal centerline on the right. | ||||

Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to the copied circle 16 on the right side. | ||||

Construct a circle concentric to circle 12, tangent to copied circle 7 on the near side. | ||||

Copy circle 8 to the center of (original) circle 7. | ||||

Construct a circle concentric to circle 1, tangent to circle 19 on the left side. | ||||

Copy circle 16 two more times, one centered at the intersection of the copied circle of step 16 and the horizontal centerline on the right (1), the other one centered at the corresponding intersection of the first (2). With the same point (2) as its center, so concentric to the last one, construct a circle with a radius two times as large, tangent to circle 1 on the right (3). | ||||

Copy circle 16 again two times, with centers at the left intersections of (copied) circles 7 and 8 and the horizontal centerline. | ||||

Construct two circles concentric to circle 12, tangent to the two circles 22 at opposite (outer) sides. | ||||

Copy circles 12, 18 and 23 five times, and distribute them together with the originals evenly around the main center, six sets of four circles in total. | ||||

Copy both concentric circles of step 21 38 times, and distribute them together with the originals evenly around the main center, 39 sets of two circles in total. | ||||

Circles 1, 6, 12, 15, 17, 18, 20, 21, 23, 24 and 25 together form the basis for the final reconstruction. | ||||
